I cannot remember being so crushed by a game until I played Tetris 2. I love original tetris. I was anticipating 2 player, new music, and maybe a battle mode but everything else was regular tetris. DDII is great VGM is great for getting games that just missed your collection.

Sweet grabs for the NES. 🤙🏻 The Revenge is my favorite of the DD trilogy too. Such an improvement on the first game and not the ball breaker of the third. Berenstain is truly a surprise! I would have thought the exact same thing as you did when you pulled it out. 😂

Nice box! I agree! Ecco the Dolphin just isn’t the same anymore. And I remember that game! I loved the books and tv show. That game was 🔥 back in the day!

Always a good day when the new VGM video drops! This is one I would've loved to get. I never played Tetris 2 on the NES, but I discovered the rom years later and thought it was great. But Ecco was one of the dozen or so Game Gear games I had as a kid and must've played through it 100 times. I admittedly haven't played it in at least 2 decades and I'm not sure if it would still hold up, but I used to think that game was so damn cool, even if it was slow paced. There's some fun puzzles that aren't too brutal but still make you think a bit, and once you get used to the controls, it's a lot of fun zipping around underground caves as a dolphin.

I never understood the allure of Ecco. I played it as a kid and it never clicked. I feel like a lot of kids games from the late 8-bit through the 16-bit eras were all much higher quality than we thought they would be.

Getting DD2 on NES is awesome amd surprised that Berenstein Bears looks decent as well.

Double Dragon II was my favorite carts to have on my NES probably. Instant classic and such a great series.

War Gods has a test mode which is great for checking out if all your controller buttons work. That is about all I use it for.

Berenstain Bears was one of the first games I ever beat as a kid! Big nostalgia vibes! Decent game!

Solid VGM Box. Most of them seem to be decent. Such a cool service. As soon as you showed Berenstain Bears, I immediately remembered playing and having fun with it on my step-bros Genesis back in the day. I totally forgot about that game and TV series on top of that.🐬🐬🐬 Take care! 🟩

Love Double Dragon 2. One of my all time favorites on the NES. Also about the PS1 fighting games, if you want a real banger try one of the Bloody Roar games or Soul Blade. Soul Blade = precursor to Soul Calibur and it's still rock solid on PS1.

Wow you got my favorite druggle dragon! 😂 For real though, looks like a great value here. All of the VGM videos I've seen make me want to give it a try. I'm with you on Ecco, though. Great idea, great presentation, questionable execution. Still a good vgm haul overall though!

I never new there was a second Contra for the nes until I was an adult. I didn't know anyone who had it. I can't get used to the backwards controls of Double Dragon 2. I still need to beat that one someday. I'm trying to beat as many NES titles as possible.

Good box again Jay! I understand about Ecco. I made it my mission as a kid to beat it (Genesis), so I like the series. Agree on Tetris 2, didn't work for me either. I am an odd duck and I actually really like War Gods - Kabuki Jo and Anubis were my characters. Looks like I need to track down the Berestein Bears game now tho. Cheers

I actually liked Tetris 2. I may be weird, but I liked the Tetris games in the 64 too. As for Ecco, I've always hated Ecco the Dolphin. I never understood the love for it. The history behind it is weird too.

Not a bad box. I agree with you about Eco, I never liked it myself. As for Tetris 2, looks fun, but yeah just doesn't say "Tetris" to me. Not gonna lie, I laughed out loud when I saw you pull The Berenstain Bears game, but like you I was pleasantly surprised by the look of the game and the gameplay. Would that my red eyes were due to being stoned. Sadly, just dry contacts and the eye drops didn't clear things up.
