Gawad was so smooth then. He went on to be world number 1 after beating El Shorbaggy here and Ashour in the final. He was nearly unbeatable for the next 5/6 months.

El Shorbagy is so difficult to beat, he is tall with a big reach and is not restricted by his size in the corners. A likable personality too but good to see Gawad winning--an amazing talent.

Elsh may be the no. 1 seed and world No. 1 but doesn't seem sportsman like in his demeanor. He does anything to cause diversion and distraction in normal course of game. After that three minute break he was moving wow well enough for an injury to the ankle or achille's Just a rally or two before the one at 1.15.31 where gawad was stranded behind elsh a no let was given. And when elsh was stranded in a sane kind of situation a stroke came into existence by magic. Contentious reffing
