Okay to squash this out and do this properly. There must be an official and recognised way to crown the relevant artist in this culture. Just like the grammies or voting to elect a president and members of parliament, there can be a similar democracy approach through voting and accolades from the supporters or fans locally, globally and intergalactic wise. The categories should be as follow: Dancehall & Reggae Title official Prince / Princess of Dancehall Prince / Princess of Reggae Next Level up of achievement King / Queen of Dancehall King / Queen of Reggae Next Level up from that The Dancehall Emperor / Empress Emperor / Empress of Reggae Final and highest achievement Dancehall God / Goddess Reggae God / Goddess (This is attainable if a person has been established in the genres and impact the culture globally for atleast 20 years+ surpassing acolades, internal cultural impact on all four corners of the earth and beyond, growing longevity as well as creating new waves in Dancehall for the next generation ro tailor from. Not many would be able to achieve this position but that would be the 4 category title. This can be done in Jamaica and campaigning for the artists of interest can have their votes out plus a body of industry professional coordinate the ceremony on a specific day (preferably the day when Reggae started) people would be able tune in globally and watch the ceremony and everybody happy ..... good for the culture cementing dancehall to a whole new level great for business also. To be fair King title is just one level artists out here have surpassed the king level and attained historic achievement for example: Bob really should be awarded and crowned God of Reggae..... he has surpassed the kingship level ages ago ........
