Oh my word, I'm so happy my throwaway gag resulted in this video being made and the Pyre being killed in fun ways. XD I'd recommend some background music for your videos, this was a little quiet. The KZbin Audio Library is where I get my tunes. :) Lovely to see the Pyre get squashed!

What, the loud keyboard ASMR doesn't do it for you? Good point on the volume and music. I did edit it in something of a hurry since I'll be going out of town with family soon, but throwing some music in the background and double checking the volume would've been easy enough. Not fixing it now, though; it's in the spirit of the ship itself that the video is a bit scuffed😂

I actually think Daskter's ship was overall better made, if for no other reason than it didn't DQ itself from lack of turning lmao. And in testing afterward, the Arsonist did beat his ship, so if the brackets had worked out differently that could've won too. For anyone wondering, this is the guy who ran the tournament this ship was originally built for, it's up on his channel as Juggernaut Armageddon or JA for short.

Well done, thats definetly something to brag about, for the lasers id just spawn some invincible very dodgy planes and then mess with the detection settings untill you get low position error.

This ship tends to have pretty binary matchups. Strong LAMS or evasive targets (Kobold for example) give it a real hard time because the shells just can't land reliably, and the EMP protection is not really up to snuff, but anything that just wants to trade shots usually gets demolished by the squash.

Imo most effective anti pyre weapon are max heated charge lasers, since pyre has relatively thin armour for a frontsider, just give each one it's own aimpoint

I did try that out, and I think you're probably right. Shooting front to back, if you have a weapon that doesn't care about angle, the Pyre actually isn't as tough as it seems and there's a high likelihood you hit something important on the way through. HA being flammable also makes the laser better, because it spread the damage around a bit rather than just being a single 1x1 hole. I had a laser that I think cost less than 100k and was able to put a hole straight through it and sometimes just kill it in one hit from knocking out engines and such.
