To be fair to stopping around the woods and dog not noticing, a few weeks ago some friends stayed over at our place after a Thursday concert and got here around midnight and used to the restroom and whatever and not a single resident of our household woke up. Including Tripp. 😂

so am I haha!! ohh I've never had any slugs in the garden but I do have them in the yard... maybe i was just lucky this year my slugs weren't very adventurous lol

I also loved Annihilation but did not enjoy Authority as much. I could definitely see it being better on a reread, though. I think Annihilation sets the bar really high and with such a drastic change in the focus of Authority, it's hard to live up to the hype of the first book.

Ok good to know! It definitely didn’t feel like a book that needed a sequel to me but my partner has the trilogy bind up so I feel like one of us should read the rest lol
