In the first at 8-6, the first sign Diego is succumbing to the web Ali has made with all the working shots and superb placement. Ali is hardly ever acknowledged for the best working boast in the game which would end close to the nick on the second (not the first, like what hesham aims for) bounce. Ali knows his own length game is superior to Diego’s and he uses it as a consistent winning strategy against him, so very clever. By the end of the first game Diego is spent and Ali changed his game in the second to capitalise on it. It could look boring to some but if a strategy works very well, use it, no point in doing flashy low percentage killing shots if you know you have a much higher chance of winning with an early attritional style.

Classic tale, really: superior ball striker versus immovable object. This time, immovable object wins.

What better way to spend the awkward between-christmas-and-new-year-period than enjoying this incredible match 🤩 ...Though after watching this match in full, we're feeling guilty at SQUASHTV HQ about the amount of mince pies consumed this week 😮💨

10:44 commentary said the first five rallies of the 1992 final were 10 minutes long. 10 minutes each?! Sure 5 rallies in total right?
@greezeyy3 күн бұрын
yeah, 5 combined were 10

Diego looks a little uncomfortable in this match, constantly clutching his side. Did they mention what's up with that? I'm watching it mute almost all the way
@kos4life3 күн бұрын
looks like in some of the traffic he might of caught an elbow/shoulder or 2 to the side. Thankfully Farag isnt the sort of one to do this on purpose, could be more than that unless I missed something?

thats amazing that for a niche sport like squash, you still want people to pay like for netflix to watch, and from times to times you give a nice full match for free :D good luck for making this sport more popular, because no self-respecting sport has such weak rules regarding viewing

Did farag lose in the final he would of been tired
