No way. Asal can own as much of the court as he wants to play his sh, especially when he is hitting it from the T. Let alone 2 other giant facts; Asals ball went tightly along the wall, Solimon made the wrong path and Solimon only so much as pretended to try get it smashing against Asal. And then Asal gets a conduct game for hitting the ball at the T? What a joke. That ref just doesn’t like Asal.

That's one of the best referee performances I've seen.... totally nailed every decision... spot on giving conduct warnings for Asal blocking every time. He clearly moves back in to the line his opponent has to take to get to the ball. I feel for Solimen cos he had to deal with Asals foul play. Asal is talented but a brat who just cannot seem to get his head round the concept of fair play. All he needs to do is watch some of the other classy players like Farag, Gawad, Momen, Coll, Mohammed El Shorbagy.... all gentlemen, all talented, all want to win but are honest and they want to win in a fair way. Asal has so much talent but so little character. If he had both he would be unstoppable...its a shame for him that he cannot understand this.

There’s absolutely no denying Asal’s talent and skills, which is why it is absolutely infuriating to watch him pull off his usual shenanigans. At this point, no one in their right *mind* (edit) can buy the theory that he does what he does unintentionally. Not only is it very clearly intentional, but I’m sure he’s heard complaints and been given punishments and probably got into altercations with other players hundreds of times over the years. You don’t need that, Asal. Just play clean, bro. You’ll still win so many events, I guarantee.

I think it is somewhat subconscious, which would explain why he thinks he's innocent. I think the way he's been brought up and coached incorporated blocking as a valid tactic. Having said this I'm not defending him - it might be subconscious to do it mid-rally but it should be insanely obvious that it's bad when collisions and conduct games are made.

I think the ref was spot on with asal. He is a bully on the court sometimes and fair play to soliman because he was not putting up with his constant standing or leaving a leg in the way or not clearing. Squash should be played with gentlemanly conduct. I think he is a little upset that he didn't get away with it today and thus spitting out his dummy and as for not playing again I doubt that. He is one of the best 5 players in the world and still young in squash terms so why quit. Live and learn son and see you in the next round.

Nice to see referees not falling for Asal's football like tactics. That blocking leg he loves to use against Ng, Declan, Tareq, Coll and now Soliman needed to be penalised. Squash does need more talents and characters the likes of Abouelghar, Gawad, Coll, etc.

Its amazing how Asal is a bully and a baby all wrapped up in one. Leaving the trail leg behind and tripping his opponent is dangerous and very intimidating. Imagine the next 10 rallies... it would be totally on your mind every time you have to go around him from the back side. There is no room for this and it has to be stopped in the best interest of player's health and the image of the game. Not to mention, if they don't take stronger action against him and he seriously injures an opponent there would clearly be issues of liability.

Asal really needs to get with a coach to straighten out his movements which really do put other players in danger. I am not sure if they are deliberate but assuming they are not, he needs to learn to move and step properly. He will hurt some player with his movements or get hurt himself and it would not be good. It almost happened here. I am not sure I agree with the second conduct stroke but Asal is painful to watch in general. Such unclear and blocking movements after the shots. He is so talented and accurate that he really doesn't need all this drama. He is a great player and shot maker and this is a hindrance not a positive to his game. I wish him the best and hope he will acknowledge this shortcoming and learn with a proper coach to overcome it. This is likely a bad habit he has developed over the years and its time for it to be unlearned.

Soliman doing his best to play through and avoid asking for lets. Better for game of squash if players look to make the effort to play through and avoid breaking the flow by asking for multiple lets. But it works both ways. Opponent needs to make an effort to clear. Asal doesn’t consistently make that effort to clear and ref was onto him. If he makes the effort to clear he has the skill to win fairly and respectfully. He’s great to watch but just needs to clean up that bit of his game for his own good; otherwise his reputation will precede him and refs will be less likely to give him his share of 50/50 decisions…

Asal would do well to play soccer…. Big kudos to suleiman and the ref for not putting up with Asal’s antics, so satisfying to watch! Sorry but I don’t find it interesting nor necessary to have a “villain” on the tour. Give me plain vanilla clean sportsmanlike squash any day.

Asal just needs to start clearing his opponent’s line to the ball, even if the opponent has a lot of work to do. Asal has a habit of using his size during rallies, I applaud the ref for challenging his movement. Sad to see his father getting aggressive, sad to see Asal making a fuss about it all… Squash may not be the right sport for his temperament, which would be sad as he could easily be no.1 without the obstructive movements

Asal has played many memorable matches against top ranked players with minimum obstructions. I do agree he needs to polish his fair play skills however my point is, it is the chemistry of those TWO in the court which could push things to the extent where they were today. Did you not feel a little lighter version of same in Coll vs Rodriguez match? Are they not class players in their own. I'm sure they are and so is Asal. If his take away from this game is all positive, I envision a future world champion in him!

Feel bad for Asal in a way but let's get real, the movements he does after hitting is just plain cheating. Anyone who has played squash at amateur level knows that clearing after playing a shot is one of the most energy sapping aspects of the game, and everyone knows what it's like when you're playing against someone who isn't clearing properly after a shot. You end up doing twice as much work as them as you're not only making an effort to clear yourself, but you're having to work harder to get around them when they don't. This isn't amateur level though, it's the highest level and it's about time Asal was punished for this nasty habit. In his case his movements are worse than the amateur players; the amateur players merely don't move whereas he seems to actively move into the opponents line.

Asal is a cheat. Leaves the trailing leg and blocks on a regular basis; it’s undoubtedly intentional. He then plays the victim card and says he doesn’t want to play anymore. His antics and that of his father are no addition to squash. Clown.

6:10 and 8:35, Interference doesn't give you the right to bulldoze someone. I'm not particularly a fan of Asal but I didn't agree with both Conduct Strokes. I thought the contact was unnecessary for both rallies, in the 1st Soliman had a path up the middle of the court but hung back and put himself in a bad position, he could have ran around and asked for a Let. In the 2nd the only opportunity to play the ball was in the front backhand not at the rear of the court, he was simply played out of position and the back of the court wasn't an option. You can't play a bad shot and be out of position then be saved by a Let.
