Gawad was exeptional late 2016 into 2017, so good to watch. He appeared to be super fit, despite carrying a bit of weight, which allowed his to showcase his brilliant skills. Unfortunately he hasn't been able to keep that level up since then, possibly due to injuries.

Yep and it really set up the final rally with Elshorbagy hitting that unforced error at the end. Unbelievable squash.

Amazing control down the left wall, esp the rally at 13:07. Especially for Egyptians - they don't usually choose to play this kind of tight rail game but a good reminder that when they want to they can!
