Merci for the video, you're my new favorite youtube for powerlifting. Can you please do a video on training sticking points on bench press?

Extremely fun to watch and insightful. I used to assume that the narrow grip was the only right way and that caused my wrists to hurt. Can't wait to try this at the gym tomorrow!

Great video! I have issues with tipping forwards when I squat and have really high elbows - never really thought that the two might be linked to one another. The cues here sound quite good, looking forward to trying them out when I next squat!!

Thinking of this with my squat. I'm so tight with my elbow position that I get some pain in the back of my arm near the top near the shoulder. The idea of lifting my elbows at any point in my squat is beyond my imagination. Any exercises to increase my flexibility there so I don't have to deal with it? My grip is as wide as I can get it without risking slamming my fingers on rerack

Pana made a video in French where he talks about warmups before squats especially for those who experience some pain in their joints. He recommended doing some lateral raises with a slight external rotation (imagine wanting to hug someone lol, hope you will understand). It helped me a lot. I also experienced some pain in the elbows and he recommended doing some hammer curls. So I always do both exercices before I squat and it really helps.

@thewhiteterror1390 thank you! I'll look at the video and give it a shot. Squats are far and away my favorite.

4:00 “if I want to go up I can drive with my elbows upward” can cause confusion because - without context - it can sound like you are saying the elbow should rise upwards when what I believe you mean is that the elbow drives up through the upper arm to the shoulder. The video overall is a good explanation but I’ve seen other explanations that left me with the impression that I should lift my elbows up behind me at the bottom of the squat - because they used similar language to “drive with my elbows upwards” which sounds like “elbow rise” or “elbows shoot up”.
