The councils fine people for having unmowed grass in some or a lot of your states..maybe some one should start sending fines to the councils for blocked drains. If it wasn't for people like you unblocking them the roads would always be under water. Great job..

This brings back memories when I was a kid doing this. There's something satisfying taking a bad (flood) and turning it into something good (dry streets) I know you don't do this for the thank yous but I'll say it for the people who don't. THANK YOU for doing this and being a great neighbor ❤

The pictures on the building are of councilpersons and mayors of the city of Detroit. Rosa Parks was famous for her stand against segregation. Walther Ruether was famous for leading the fight for labor and union rights in the middle of the 20th century. The native American individual was probably a tribal chief, at the time of the founding of Detroit. The French and native Americans had a strong influence on this area. Many of our streets and cities names came from the French and native American languages.

I used to do this as a kid. We had a low spot in our street and as soon as a storm was forecast we would block the drain up with bags and then remove them all and watch it all drain away. Great video buddy 👍🍻🍻🇬🇧🥰

Not sure if it's the same with the US but our hardware stores have brooms with wire bristles. this can scrub & shread wet leaves to bits that's covering a drain. think it may work more effectively in conjunction with the rake. Great result in this video

My Dad used a 5 or 6 foot pry bar, had a rounded point on the ends, looked like a javelin. I couldn't pick it up. lol One of those could be used to bounce on the drains and break the ice.

If you think about it...... The next time you go out before you start look around for a large rock that you can saftly pick up. Where ever you go take it with you When you see cars coming that look like they are going to splash you Some you can tell Just reach over and pick that rock up so they can see you got it..
