To be fair, hysterical as she was, at least she didn’t start screaming, shouting, and blaming the women behind the service desk. She acknowledged she got the STD slightly wrong, combined with a late taxi. She then calmed down and seemed genuinely appreciative of her free transfer to a later flight - and we all got one heck of a laugh in the process!

The video starts out with "over a hundred passengers miss their flights every day". Common people, PLAN AHEAD!!!! The world is NOT all about "YOU"!! SQUEAKY is the most pathetic demonstration of a mature adult ....someone who is at "teacher" can't get to the airport on time, which is at least TWO hours earlier for INTERNATIONAL flight, and shows up 15 MINUTES LATE .....then has the audacity to explain how STUPID she is for this situation ....now a REPEAT SECOND TIME. It appears this lady "Michelle Selinger" has been hired to do something she is incapable of doing. Her response is UNBELIEVABLY ATROCIOUS. Then come all the excuses "the taxi was 20 minutes late and the traffic was dreadful" .......and this has never happened before? It really is simple now. Sue the taxi company and everyone that caused the traffic. It's just embarrassing to have to deal with someone as incompetent as this ....and then find out she is allegedly "educated". If it was me, I certainly would NOT let anyone know this information.

Always leave with planning so I will have an hour extra than they recommend. For example in Manchester Airport they recommend to arrive 1 and a half hours before an inland flight or 2 hours before a European flight, so I arrive with 2 or 3 hours spare. An extra hour of waiting isn't going to cause you any harm, it's actually going to give you less stress... Simple really. This woman obviously didn't plan things well enough, she should've got things ready a day or two before flying... Very simple. So on the day of travelling she can just leave without anything to worry about.

My parents get so stressed about getting to the airport in time it’s actually funny 😭
@patsybob10 жыл бұрын
If you have people counting on you, then you need to be at the airport hours in advance. I laughed when she admitted her travel plans had gone to crap as that's exactly why you need to leave early. Leaving at 6am for a 7,20am flight is a very tight schedule and as expected it backfired on her.

ein because your sympathy would have been so useful for this woman...
@Mike0N0ike5710 жыл бұрын
Very true, you always want to be at an airport at least 2 hours before your flight. i work for American Airlines and I can't even tell you how many times I've seen people show up 30 minutes or less before departure and get denied access.
@Tahvosky10 жыл бұрын
Absolutely! Me and a friend of mine even went with a 2 am Bus when we where in Ireland just so we'd be at Dublin Airport at 5 when our flight would depart at 7 am. One can't just say "F*** it I'll just try it on good luck and arrive 20 minutes before departure". It was bound to happen to her in this case.

Mike0N0ike57 Well said! DM and I went on a tour of Padua once we debarked the NCL Spirit in Venice after a 12-day cruise last Oct. The tour ran from 11-2 and we arrived at the Venice airport and our transfer flight to Moscow (we were flying back to Tampa) wasn't until 10 minutes to 11 that night! Grueling wait, yes, but I found it much better to be a bit TOO early than late. I 'd usually arrive at the airport 2 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international ones. Good rule of thumb!
@cezzie9019 жыл бұрын
Totally agree patsybob. I'm stupidly early to the airport but I'd rather be waiting there, having some food or a coffee or reading than rushing at the last minute.
@KeepAnEyeOnDan5 жыл бұрын
"Please don't do this to me" You did this to yourself. I always aim to arrive at the airport 2 hrs early and I've still nearly missed flights due to delays. She was 15 minutes late to check in because her taxi was 20 minutes late. That means she intended to arrive 5 minutes before the check in closed. No one to blame but herself
@neilburns886911 ай бұрын
I think the real reason she's so upset is that the knock-on effect is that her being late and having therefore missed her flight has probably cost her her job and maybe even het career. But although I could maybe sympathise with her to a certain extent, unfortunately they can't really hold the plane back and it's not really the fault of the check-in staff.
@AlyssaK836 жыл бұрын
These people who flip out about missing these flights really grind my gears. I was always taught when you fly in American airports, show up between 1-2 hours before your flight. For international flights (because somehow their systems are more convoluted), 3-5 hours before your flight. If your destination is as important as this squeaky mouse woman, be there extra early so this doesn’t happen. What’s so wrong with sitting outside your gate early before boarding?
@larahilton74176 жыл бұрын
Alyssa Surgent ‘grind my gears’ love that expression😀😂. I suspect Michelle is that person at work that uses hyperventilation/loud crying to avoid taking responsibility for letting people down. This is not Michelle’s first f-- up, I suspect. ‘Please don’t do this to me’ and ‘my taxi was late’ . Everyone knows you get there 2-3 hours in advance. It’ll be the same hot mess on the return journey. She’s that type of girl.
@m4rs126 жыл бұрын

@larahilton74176 жыл бұрын
Jay West I could actually see me doing that myself. Sometimes there’s no point in trying to go to bed as you know you’ll just spend the entire night checking and rechecking your alarm. I bet you felt wretched once you’d arrived though.

I’m sorry but a 20 minute late taxi doesn’t affect you missing a plane when you’re meant to get to the airport 2 hours prior to departure.

@Yobachi20079 жыл бұрын
Wow, this hyperventilating squeaky mouse woman is so unprofessional. If you already messed up once with people depending on you, how could you come anywhere close to doing it again. You should have been at the airport hella early. As a matter of fact if everyone else had to build a schedule around you being there you should have taken the flight before the last flight ahead of your appointment time, so in case something happened with the flight you could still have a chance to get on the second one and get there on time.

If you have an important meeting requiring an International flight, it is always worth arriving the night before. Arrive, relax in your hotel room and prepare for your meeting, without stress and harassment. It's simple, really.

Really? Well I've never missed an international meeting *ever.* Gibraltar, Dubai, Jersey, France - where ever... Never. Arrive, relax, have some time to prepare, enjoying some hotel hospitality. Trust me, you will be far more focused for your meeting than those who didn't take my advice and are rushed, enduring a chaotic journey on the day.

She had to let them down last time because of the same type of thing. So she goes ahead and pulls the same shit. Give yourself way more time than you expect you'll need, then missing your flight won't be a possibility. When you have a deadline like takeoff, never cut it close.

One thing I have learned after many decades of flying internationally is if you have something overseas that you must attend, get there the day before or even better, two days before the mandatory meeting. To have something so important and to time it the way she did was short-sighted and caused unnecessary strain.
