Man, this is awesome. I can't believe the sound. Was this uploaded from the Cassette? I saw the video of Steve Albini's studio in 1989 (same year as this) and I saw he had two Otari machines - an 8-track and a 2-track mastering deck. He says in the video his tiny little mixer is $5000. Unbelievable! Aside from the awesome period-sound of this recording, the vocals and music are definitely something I like listening to.

Yes, this was ripped from cassette and then remastered and EQ'd. Also in case you didn't know, I am the guy that made that video back in 1989! I'm glad you like the music!

@@GG70 Wow, you're a pretty cool guy. Good on you to make that video. Were you aware what a time capsule it would become? Doesn't it just seem like yesterday?

@@johnvalencia9927 thanks for the kind words! Steve and his bands, his influence, were HUGE to suburban teens like me back in the 80s and of course, I knew that he would continue to make music and be a presence. The video was put away in a box until a friend asked me about it and said I should post the video. Originally, I didn't want to since I was an awkward dude in the interview and Steve seemed to take little shots at me here and there, but, that's his humor - all good. I'm glad it's out there for people to enjoy and learn from. Thanks again!

Yes, we were certainly influenced by Steve at that time. I'd say this song was more Rapeman influenced though.... Hope you liked it all the same!
