That is a very productive session. There's a lot of cattles. Thanks for sharing the session. Love the underwater clips, shame you lost one. Looking forward to the next video.

NIce video ! What grams rod would you suggest i get? currently i have a sienna 2000 reel with 0.1 mm braid and what to bu a rod for eging

It is always a safe bet to go for an Eging dedicated rod, even if it is a cheap made as long as the rod maker is a serious rod manufacturer, if you know what I mean. Otherwise, the rod should be, typically 8.3 ft - 8.6 ft, or 8 ft - 9.2 ft, weight wise 10g -25g. If in Malta, shorter and lighter rod than the above will do (Maltese sea is nice and easy!). Thank you for commenting.

@ Thank you for your detailed reply, basically for now i have a 3-12 g rod that im using for squid fishing but i think thats a bit too light, that is why im considering another actual squid rod. But also yes i am in malta. Do you think my cirrent setup works?

What you need for your rod is not exactly a power but a certain stiffness. You need to manoeuvre your jig in the water, make it swim or even dance. If your rod is too soft you only keep bending the rod but not moving the jig. I reckon Malta anglers prefer Jig size #3.0 or #2.5 (while I stick to #3.5) and the sea is nice and easy (if weather is nice and easy), but I have to say a rod 3-12g is too light in any case. Masaru

@@SquidFishingWorldwide and if i had to buy another rod for malta would you suggest something in the 10-20 g range? And with this would i be able to fish in some deeper waters?
