As a Korean myself, I rarely watch any Korean TV or Films (except for the really good ones) BUT I finally watched Squid Game a few days ago and it was AMAZING! The show had a Black Mirror Dystopian feel which I absolutely loved and the soundtrack (Pink Soldiers Especially) was very addicting and catchy! "Would you like to play a game with me? "

The composer for Squid Game (2021 -) is Jung Jae-il. Most notably, he composed the scores for the widely acclaimed, successful, and award-winning films Okja (2017) and Parasite (2019), both directed, co-produced, and co-written by Bong Joon-ho. And without a doubt, his best musical work is "Pink Soldiers" and I hope to hear his musical score again in the second season of Squid Game. such a simple concept of a dangerous person but executed so well in this show. It was kind of strange to start seeing some of their faces in the end and seeing how human they were under the mask. The shapes are such a simple and childish representation of differences in authority but it was really effective at communicating how threatening some of them were once you learned their rank system.
