Yes we don't eat 'naan' everyday. This is something that needs a big oven so generally we eat it at restaurants once in a while. Instead of naan we eat roti/paratha everyday which is healthier, easy to cook and digest. And we don't call every dish curry. The most common Indian word for it is 'sabzi'. The world has yet to understand that 'restaurant food' and 'home cooked food' in India are vastly different. What we eat on daily basis are roti, sabzi, daal (pulses soup) and rice.
@smilee25663 жыл бұрын
Most of what you said was accurate and ik what you said probably applies to North indians, but the word "curry" for side dishes is commonly used in South India, especially kerala, and it comes from the name for curry leaves which are a common ingredient in our food. I have never heard the word "sabzi" be used in my community. Many indians (I'm assuming from the north) correct foreigners for the use of the term however it isn't inaccurate.

Good to see Anupam getting some more Korean media screen time. He is such a talented actor. I love paratha! I always describe it as like a Indian version of a Chinese green onion pancake (not a jeon style pancake). Flaky flat bread with many layers. I’m not sure if Koreans have something similar but I’d imagine they do.

I'm so happy he was in the film. I think it is a testament to Korean culture that he had a role. Not because they let him have one, but because his part was written in because Korea probably does have lots of foreigners who move there. To even include a paradigm like that says a lot about today's world, and I think fits even better with the theme of the series, which Imo aims to explore the hardships of life and living it.
