Its not about the plot, its about entertainment , the whole season is Just mediocre if you have seen S1 then S1 was far more thrilling and emotional, most of us literally cried in S1 ep6 marble ball games and in S2 none of the death was emotional or you can say characters we were less attached to characters of S2 and more attached to S1 characters, This Just shows the poor writing of characters in S2 , also during games of S1 there was a tension in each and every second which wasn't present in s2. If they just wanted to tell why games were happening then they could have explained it in 2 mins then there would have been no need of S2 but they made a whole new season so we need the entertainment with it as well , a sequel must surpass S1 or be equal to S1 otherwise people will call it mid. Breaking bad is is the highest rated tv show in whole world cuz each and every season surpasses the previous. I hope now you understand why people are saying it's mid. It's pretty obvious that people will except the same enjoyment they received from its prequel

If you think deaths not being emotional makes a show bad then you have wrong standards. Squid game is a dark show. Not every death needs to be emotional. In real life, deaths are more shocking and happen in the blink of an eye and no one is able to even process it. That's how the deaths in s2 were too. I don't agree with pj and mohit except that makers did drag the show, they act so sophisticated yet didn't understand what makers wanted to show, s1 showed how game changes a person and in s2, continuing the part of Gi-hun wanting to end the game somehow and he is not telling anything to other participant bcz he wasn't sure if those info would influence in good way or bad like it happened when he told he is a former participant & sole winner, people instead of understanding that these games are death wish, they were happy that if they win they for sure get the money and there is chance of winning. This season doesn't spoon feed you at all, everything is in the context of how carefully you see and analyze the people in the game. Like the masked frontman, the reason he came down is that he couldn't believe how a person winning the game can still have humanity left and still see people as people bcz both the salesman and frontman, who have participated in these games and frontman potentially won, see those people as trash and the frontman wanted to make Gi-hun show that Gi-hun is no better than the frontman that's why at s2 end the frontman tell G-hun see the consequences of you trying to be the hero. Frontman didn't care about game at that point, bcz that he can continue doing any time, right now he was fascinated & curious on how humanity is still there on Gi-hun and he wanted to destroy it. I loved this season too. I can see why you guys didn't enjoy as much. If both s2 & s3 would have come as s2 like makers wanted (netflix divided it), then you also would have enjoyed it. This is my interpretation & deduction. I think this season gives much more to discuss and interpret your way. So, I hope it grows more on you guys when you discuss it more. Peace ✌

It's not about game this season, and it's not supposed to be about games. It's about stopping the games. It's an easy way to follow the same approach as the first season, but then the story will move forward. We want the main character to do something to stop the games and struggle behind it
