Love your reactions! The mother, she was never working for the SG before, they tracked her because of her status as a defector and she was getting no where in life. They stopped being able to track Gi Hun when he cut that thing out of his ear. Not sure they knew where he was all this time but he showed himself again so they got him. I like some of your theories and I can not wait to see what pans out when you finish.

She also had the key to the room already...she was even there when Gi Hun won...you can see her stare at him on the stairs when he was leaving the broker's office and she was entering because she recognized him.
