Top did get paid in the end. He originally didn’t want pay at all since acting in this would be his comeback but Netflix found it unfair so paid him 75k per episode, which is generally less than the other main characters, considering he didn’t want to get paid. Hope this helped!

Yea but after he was arrested his reputation was ruined, nobody wanted to hire him. Him acting in squid games was the best thing for him even if he didn’t get paid. At least he can sort of make a comeback.

There’s some misinformation she’s saying about T.O.P He did not go to jail after his marijuana scandal. His agency (YG Entertainment) did not drop him. More In depth summary below: In 2017, T.O.P was sentenced to 10 months in prison, suspended for two years. This meant if he were to commit another offense within the 2 year probation period, he would serve 10 months in prison, which he did not. The drug he admitted to using was marijuana. T.O.P’s agency did not drop him for his marijuana scandal but did temporarily suspend him from entertainment-related activities. Up until February 2022, he officially left the agency, stating he would participate in group activities from time to time. A couple months later, T.O.P and 3 other members of BigBang released a song together called “Still Life” that did very well in South Korea.

The amount of misinformation is crazy. TOP has left BigBang and wants nothing to do with the group. He even blocked mentions of BigBang on his insta. It's only the 3 guys (GDragon, Daesung, Taeyang) that came back and are making music together

But around May 2023, T.O.P replied to some fans in his insta comments, stating that he no longer associates with BigBang and will stick to solo endeavors. I really do wonder what was the actual reasoning behind him leaving the group. 😭

@@hekilledmyego I think he's over the kpop industry and honestly after everything he's been through I don't blame him. Maybe after the single (and the whole thing with them supposedly performing at Coachella until it was cancelled) he started dealing with a lot more harassment and people talking about him and all the scandals involved in bigbang in general and realized how fucked up the whole environment is and that he didn't want to comeback. I hope he continues to get roles tho and even releases some music, even if he doesn't ever promote it or anything. I could see him being kinda like Zayn Malik or Frank Ocean type, just likes the art of music but hardly ever tours or does promo but yeah with the Korean music industry I think that's kinda not the norm
