Software proxy is installed top of the operating system and hardware proxy is a device specially designed for proxy role. Device will have more options to configure

i have one scenario .like below i have dns name and ip add google.com/12.13.14.12(downstream system) i am sending data to this ip address , so i have mentioned this ip in security group outbound but the problem is every time they changing ip add, when ever they change we also need to change but dns name not changing is there any way to pass the dns name insted ip ? i tried in security groups pass dns name , but security greoups not allowing dns name so how to resolve ? Can we use squid proxy here to resolve this ?

Because its not direct facebook-com. There are CDN URLs associated with it you have to block all of them.

Hi, Suppose if I build Squid Proxy server on AWS for my personal / home use for my below requirements, please respond to my queries 1) To block some URLs / Domain for few users 2) To block some URLs or disabled to get result based on particular "Texts" or in simple content filtering type to block results for those words / texts 3) After adding ROXY-PAC files / Proxy IPs in browser, if any users search for KZbin and he is allowed to access then should be able to access, but if want to search particular thing which is blocked /denied in "TEXT then that content shouldn't be shown and blocked 4) If any user is allowed to see KZbin, but if he searched for any video which is allowed and if he is accessing / seeing that video then whose bandwidth will be utilised its my local bandwidth of ISP at home or from my AWS server end and will get huge bill for Internet Bandwidth usage on AWS end

First of building a Proxy server in AWS is a bad idea for your personal use, which traffic will go all the way back to AWS and come back. Nowadays all the websites are using a content delivery network so you need to check and clock the CDN URLs first then only you can able to achieve blocking of content which is video/audio or text.

That's what i said in video if you listen carefully. You have to put the proxy server immediate after internet Link. All the internet traffic should pass through proxy server. User will not get internet when they do not keep proxy address. So user compulsory use proxy address.

If we integrate windows Ad, ldap and Kerberos authentication.so it will give the auto pop up when user trying to access Internet. And then you have to apply the particular proxy through group policy. You can install proxy at any point
