My headcannon to explain the vocal change: the heavier filters on the Wii U version simulate Callie and Marie's accents as they're known for being from the countryside. As they've lived in town and cities since their accents have mellowed out more (and as others have said, they're older) so less inkling filter and "clearer" vocals. Great video, thank you for giving us a reference point to compare the two songs! :) 💖💚

which one? in her part she says "tyrururimyotte wiruwini, yuwarriniche nahemohi". sounds the same to me in both! :o

in the original it almost sounds like there’s a ke in front of the wiruwini, probably unintentional so that’s why it’s not there in the new version. in the original the tyrururimyotte and wiruwini flowed into each other where in the new version there’s a little pause. so turns out i was wrong and there isn’t anything missing, but the slight difference just sounded really weird when i heard it the first time.
