Great vid, love the more relaxed format. "Don't be afraid to die" is the GOAT tip imo. With FPS being so battle royale focused I find a lot of my mates frustrations come from being shredded from any and every direction and at any time. Just gotta learn to accept it, assume you're always spotted, learn the deathtraps and chill..you can always get revenge at the next spawn 😉 This is the way.

I'm enjoying it so far, it kinda reminds me of Titanfall 2 with the aesthetic. I'm absolutely dogshite but I'm old so I play games for fun. BF vet since BC1, just picked up 2042 this week- in no small part due to these videos. I go full sweat every time, trying to solo cap objectives. Easy to get frustrated as I have so much muscle memory for BF4, takes time to get used to 2042. These videos good reminder to chill out and get weird with it.

Exactly, I've got nephews, nieces, a retired colonel, and a neighbor, all brand new to BF2042 and gaming in general, all different ages and goals, that are ready to take the leap and I just don't have time to go thru it all with them, no matter how much I want to. Not to take away what you are saying Squid, but when I first started, I played solo conquest against AI , I got new attachments and weapons faster, not to mention I got better at playing, because familiar with characters etc.. I strongly recommend to anyone just starting 2042, great video!!

it does help to play and work with your squad despite that DICE left out the squad leveling incentives that were in BF4. but "just have fun" is definitely good message in general.

If any new players want to keep up some old traditions. Play recon and run like ninjas down the side of the map. Place a beacon in a bush somewhere and wreak havoc like Batman on their home flags.

i'm a nerd for fps games, and battlefield is one of my favorite franchise. recently (the time this comment posted) it got a big disc on steam, currently worth around $8, so i decided to give it a try. Still, i was sceptical on the game because of the launch, but then again, i only heard that this game only get better and better since then. The last battlefield i played was BF2 on PC and the Modern Combat on PS2, so BF2042 will the first time i played latest battlefield there is. Great vid you make there! Can't wait till the download finished so i can dip head first to it. Hopefully the Asian server is not like BF V or BF 1 with how much hacker there is.

I replied to another comment before you said to comment if im new😂😂😂 I jus started yesterday, and youve made me feel much better about all of it. Mistaking my teams footsteos for enemies.. Completely choking something cool and just ending myself😂 The big thing is that how you look for your next fun thing to do, i have to take a minute to figure out whats going on next and where i should go. In xdefiant or cod i can kinda just keep running to head glitches and bunny hopping. And rotating objectives is just second nature after 10+ years 😂 I never played battlefield but this is a kind if fun i only felt from the finals. Its just genuine fun, i really dont gotta do great to just have fun😂 In cod or xdefiant im just trying to do better and better. Gotta get 50+ or im having a bad time😂 sweating ballllzzzz. Its been fun to chill on a new game. Hopefully my sweat ways dont consume me with this game. Ill stay away from the meta videos😂

What gets me frustrated is when I get spawned killed over and over again. And it's not when I spawn in the same objective. I can spawn in a tank that just blows up, when I'm getting in it, then I spawn on a squad mate that just getting gunned down with me as a bonus, next spawn is on a "safe" objective that gets bombarded by a camper tank from the other end of the map. And so on. This happends to me so often.
