Squidville. A lesson in what happens when you get too much of a good thing. Squidward moved there to get away from SpongeBob and Patrick but in the end wound up misssing them because of the role they played in his life. Life has miserable moments and those moments are definitely parts of life we want to live without. But those moments of misery need to exist so that when we have good moments they feel more important than they probably are.

SB-129 is probably even darker with the lesson of this episode. It represents the idea of existential nihilism when Squidward finds himself in a white void completely alone. Eventually, some time passes, and something inside his mind clicks, causing him to panic to get out of there. The moment he found the time machine, he begged to go back home, even if he was forced to see SpongeBob again. Because people are technical social animals, too much loneliness and isolation can drive one mad, as we need social interaction to balance out necessary solitude.

Most people miss this but the canned bread was supposed to be a call back to 1928 when sliced bread became a thing. Everyone went crazy and rushed to the supermarket. It was probably one of the best inventions of that time. Quick and convenient. Squidville is supposed to be this refined and posh society so of course they have it (canned bread).

9/10 Nuance in Spongebob - Grandma's Kisses & Squidville (Personal Favorites) Grandma's Kisses: Although this episode may seem to fall flat on its face with the concept of "growing up" and just seem like an annoying 12-minute episode of bullying, this episode in my opinion doesn't. It's an honest, more real, yet comical, piece of just growing up that everyone has to face, being nostalgic and all that. I feel Spongebob here; I don't want to grow up. However, we gotta still remember that we need to be who we are and that we should embrace the opportunity and love that we get from our younger selves, carrying those qualities later in life. It seems pretty far-fetched in my opinion writing this, but I really just do feel the passion and just heart and soul put out by Stephen on here Squidville: Yet another episode in Spongebob which is a truly iconic one. While containing some of the best Spongebob jokes and memes yet, it's another reality check for its viewers. It's a take on American life and how we're always trying to live like the same, reaching that medium where everything feels redundantly ill It's a message you gotta take cause if you're just trying to lie behind the social constraints to express who you are, you're just another resident of Squidville.

I didn’t like the Grandma episode for the reason I love my Grandmas from my family. If someone things it’s funny to love them, then they didn’t have a good life or good role models. And the fact that the episode ended with everyone still laughing at SpongeBob really was in bad taste for me, as I hoped it ends with SpongeBob admitting and quite “Innocently” ask if they loved their grandmas to even think of making fun of him in doing the same thing. That would make then evaluate their ideas and gives a good message to cherish your grandparents as they don’t have enough time left.
