The reason why the rhythm circuit sounds darker is not because of a separate capacitor, but because the tone pot is a 50k pot, instead of 1meg for both volume and tone on the lead circuit (rhythm circuit's volume is also 1meg).

I just bought my first guitar ever and I tried 6 different "entry level" models at the store and just didn't find one I really loved until I tried this Jazzmaster. I loved the sound and versatility of this guitar. I've only been playing about two months and I can honestly say I can't put the damn thing down! I love the sound quality this guitar offers at a very affordable price. First great guitar!

I've got one of these, the LPB. I matched the headstock and added a Freeway Ultra. Loads of cool sounds. An out of phase JM is killer. New wiring and pots too. Kept the rest stock though. It's one of my favorite JM's I have, even over the AmProII JM. Angled pocket. The neck is much fatter than a regular CV JM too.

Hey! I’m looking at getting the AmProii Jazzmaster, but also considering the 40th anni squier Jazz. Looking for a Maple neck Jazzmaster as an occasional use guitar. Prefer rolled edges. $$ not so much a concern, but I do prefer the Am Pro line for neck shape, modern wiring, miami blue+resale considerations. Can you tell me more about your experiences with both Jazzmasters, and if you’ll still keep the AmProii considering you like the squier so much? Thank you!!
@bciecko1
@bciecko1 2 жыл бұрын
@@majunior1944 For sure. The AmProII is great, killer guitar. I didn't care for the modern take with pups and wiring though thr Version II is more JM like than the Version I. That said I swapped the pups for Novak's and redid the wiring for a more traditional JM sound and experience. The trem is killer. Super awesome. The guitar is nice and the rolled edges feel great. They really do. All that said though, the stock tuners are shit. I had to replace those too. They're staggered but damn, why not slotted, those are just the best. 🤷🏼 Case is nice too. Very nice and secure. The 40th just oozes classic Jazzmaster. The binding and block inlays are so damn classy. It looks legit. People that don't know anything a out guitars see the two next to eachother and immediately go to 40th. Peopem that do know guitars see the two next to each other and immediately go to the 40th. You pick it up and notice the neck is nice and full. Not too round and big but a comfortable and solid grip. I love it. The binding is almost beveled for an almost rolled feel as well. Want more roll, just take some 1000grit around a screwdriver and give it a little rubbin'. The guitar feels every bit as nice as the AmProII. Slotted tuners. Bone nut. Angled neck. I'm.not certain of they've put different pups in the 40th but they sound slightly different than your regular CV JM pups. Could just be my mind playing tricks on me. 🤷🏼 Between the 2, if I had to choose buying one, having experience with both, I'd get the 40th even with money not an object. It's reslqe value will still be there. It's collectability will also be there whereas the AmProII won't have that collectability factor. The AmProII is nice, I love mine but I do think it's grossly overpriced. The wiring is the same plastic coated wires in both and it was way more tidy in the 40th than on the Fender. I got my AmProII to have as my American guitar. Gotta have one at one point. It's a holy-hraiknthing, and American Fender, in my mind and I'm happy I have mine. I got it a few months before the prices came up though. It's definitely not worth that new price. No way at all. I'd feel like I got ripped off at that. The previous price was a fair price. My suggestion, go with the 40th. The fret ends were eabout the same on the 2. They weren't polished extremely well on either but definitely not bad.

@eliorcutt4833 2 жыл бұрын
Toru used to use Gibson brand Les Pauls, if your looking for an affordable version of those, take a look at ESP brand Les Pauls, they’re Gibson’s more affordable brand The guitars that Toru started using rather recently (within the last year) are PRS Guitars (the ones with the bird inlays on the fretboard). Those are definitely more of a commitment cause of the cost, but they are incredible instruments. I think he uses a PRS Custom 22. The PRS SE brand is a little more affordable.

Just find something that’s comfortable to play and you think looks cool. Avoid anything expensive because it’ll take some time for you to hear the differences in different guitar pickups, and so it’ll take some time to figure out what kind of pickup sound you like best. The most important thing is just to get something in your hands so you can get your hands moving around the fretboard as good as you can walk and chew gum.

I have two Squiers, one MIM, and one American made. I have a great affinity for all four, but the reason people think the American made instruments are better is because they're better. The Mexican bass I have is also better than the Squiers. It's fine. It's not snobbery or hate on Squier. Fender just have different tiers of quality vs cost cutting, and the Squiers are the ones they have at their lowest priced tier. And the Squiers are great! (Especially if you like modding.)
