Hi everyone, today I present you my first gear demo. It's very homemade so please be kind. Windows Movie Maker really made me cry with this one.
This is the Squier Bronco I bought a few months ago. There aren't many videos about it so I decided to make mine.
The whole is recorded thrught my faithful Scarlett Solo. The fuzz used at the end is a Way Huge Swollen Pickle. In the pick section I use a .88 Dunlop Tortex, alternating near the bridge picking and a more close to the neck picking.
Feedback appreciated!

The Bronco Bass has evolved over the years. Now, as early as 2018, the Squier by Fender headstock logo has changed. So, on the front side of the headstock, the logo “by Fender” has the typed up that says “FENDER”, which they removed the cursive fender logo. And before 1999, the first of the Bronco basses were made in China (1997-1998). This bass has a lot of history when you dig deep at it. This demo was pretty good. As a fellow Bronco Bass owner, I’m keeping mine. Be well!

I've been reading dozens and dozens of user articles on how to modify a Bronco bass. This demo shows that I can get my (Motown) tone from one without changing anything. I have several top end basses but may buy a Bronco just for the fun of it. BTW half of my collection are short scale basses.

Great video. I like the pick guard shape and the knobs. The squire bass is a great sounding bass and for $150 new you can do a lot of cheap mods to build your own customized bass. The pick up is basically a Strat pick up so you have a lot of choices IF you wanted to replace it. I like the sound I got, so I just replaced the white cover with a chrome one, then I kept the tuners, but just replaced the paddles, and I had a custom pick guard made,a matching strap, and chrome knobs with red jewel markers. I wish I could post a picture here, but there is no option to do so

I love the look of these broncos. The pick guard & knobs make a HUGE difference. I'm looking for a used one I can modify. Though they're so cheap, I'm not sure it's worth waiting for a used one. I have a Fender Mustang with the PJ set up. Love it a lot. I restrung it with tape wounds. AMAZING. Digging short scale. Thanks for this demo. My mods on this bass would be the PG, knobs, tuners, and pickup.

hi,i was looking at these basses for a wile and hoping to do something similar to yours. first thing i would like to do would be putting a black pickguard on a black one, if pick up a black one or putting a pearl pickguard and a black pickup cover on,if i get a red one. i have a couple of questions. did the new pickguard you got form the place you mentioned below fit perfectly with screw holes on the new pickguard matching up with screw holes that were previously in the body?? or did the pickguard fit perfect but you had to drill new holes in the body to match where the holes in the new pickguard were?? hopefully you can answer my questions and thanks in advance! or give a brief explanation on fitting the pickguard and any problems (if any) you ran into while fitting it. (by the way the bass looks awesome man, really awesome...)

TangleTwister thank you very much for the nice comment! the pickguard fit the body, as in neck pocket and covering the route. no hole fit: I had to redrill all of the holes. but it's fine, the Bronco and Musicmaster have almost completely different pickguard shapes.

It's a fun bass to play, it's got its own tone and I'm not using it in a band but it would be cool for indie rock or distorted bass parts like black Rebel motorcycle club. be aware the lack of contour is important to keep in mind with these basses

Hi Sonny, I just found your vid because I bought a Bronco myself. Question: is your pickguard the Fender Musicmaster one? Because on the WDMusic website it says that it will only fit the original Fender bass. Now I'm not worried at all about making new holes for it, but I'm wondering about the alignment of placement of the pickup, neck and knobs. Can you tell me please? Tnx! :-)
