I honestly don't mind the fretboard, but it wouldn't hurt to try and stain it. Ive used black Rit fabric dye with some success. Use it full strength or dilute in denatured alcohol to start with. Works best if the fretboard is dry and before you add any oil or wax to it. There's also Old English Oil... But we've talked about that already.

I have a few of the CME/Andertons FSR Squiers and they didn’t really good job with their choices in colors. Great guitars.

Thanks for another informative and enjoyable video. I've got a couple Tele bodies (from GF) and am looking forward to assembling them over the holidays. These will be my first attempts so wish me luck, lol. Also, I really appreciate that you explain what and why you're doing the upgrades and is always cool to hear the sound demo at the end. Please keep the great videos coming and very excited to see what you have in store for us in 2025. Best wishes for your and everyone's holiday season. Cheers!

Thant’s a nice looking guitar. But with your mods it’s really a special instrument. I can’t judge the neck too carefully but if you drop a player 2 neck into it, that thing will be extraordinary. Great work.

I have a Squier 60s thinline that I threw in some Boot Strap Paulo Duro pickups in along with a 4 switch mod and those things are incredible. I think I am going to get another set of the same pickups for the Player II tele I have coming. They are by far my favorite pickups to throw in any guitar due to the price and being hand wound in USA.

@BullFrog96 are those Boot Strap Paulo Duro pickups really $50 for a set?
@BullFrog962 күн бұрын
@ yes and they are probably my most favorite set of pickups I have ever bought or put into anything. I have also tried his Golden Ale set for strats and those sounded really good as well. Those ended up going to my brother for a Strat of his own. I also had Pretzel Pup bridge pickup that I put into an Esquire I had. Ended up getting rid of that guitar unfortunately the pickup went with it. But overall really love their stuff.
