Good reveiw.I bought on Amazon's Black Friday for 99.00.Got this to Mod.Thinner,lighter body is actually something I like.Have a different bridge,loaded pickguard,and different neck for it.Swapping parts is easier than building from scratch.Fret ends were sharp.Easy enough fix.They did a good job,cutting the nut on mine too.That Is impressive!

@@bluwng LOL..NO, Not a Bot... Happy New Year. Haven't weighed it,But it is light.Which I like.Bought it only for the thinner body-Really. I'll be getting delivery of a Tempered Tuning neck in Feb. Long wait list. Only thing that will be original on this guitar,will be the input jack.By the time I'm done. I'm having fun with it until the new neck gets here. Been playing since '71'. I got the shiny one from Indonesia and it rocks it has better than normal tuning pegs and pickups in it and the 5 way is perfect for them loud no hum moments

Does the Sonic have a deep belly cut, essentially is it really thin at the belly cut? The Debut is super slim on the side and I like that.

Well, yes and no. You could improve it, but don’t spend too much on it (you can’t improve the wood!)

@@rwngwranarzary8357 if you can find the Squier Sonic in a shop for less, get that one which is basically the same guitar! Otherwise, it’s a good instrument to start

this is actually me and my bro's first electric guitar gifted by our mom back in 2009. it's good enough for beginners and already playable out of the box.

They are good guitars for the money if you get a new one make sure you get it set up correctly they are just put together and once you have them all set up they rock
