I like your mittens and I do know how to crochet. However never did color work, but when I finish my wips on knitting needles will most definitely revisit your tutorial for your mitts (do not know how to do color work for knitting either and have trouble with reading charts.

How adorable!! I’ve never seen such cute mittens! I just might give them a try! Thank you so much. What an awesome Christmas gift for anyone! Yikes!! It uses fingering weight yarn. Due to severe arthritis, I am unable to use any lightweight yarn or hooks smaller than 4.0. The tension needed just causes agony in my hands (in fact, I had given up crocheting for 10 years). Do you have any suggestions on how I can use a bigger hook and yarn but accomplish this?

It would be difficult to use a larger hook and yarn for this pattern, but now that I’ve figured this out I see more mittens in my design future and maybe I’ll work one in that’s with a heavier weight yarn :)

Hello ! I'm new at changing colors, the changing is not so difficult but I wonder what you do with the color not in use, in order not to have a huge loose string in the mitten ? You talk a little bit about this problem for the thumb part. I tried to crochet the other color along, on the inside, but it's kind of visible on the right side... thanks !

Sometimes there is a slight slant when working crochet stitches, try blocking and see if that helps reduce the slant.
