She is so trusting of you. That melts my heart. Yesterday, for the first time in months, I saw a familiar squirrel who had been very trusting of me. He was very easy to discern because of his injured right paw. It seems as if he has since sustained some rather significant injuries on his back, but seems to be recovering. He came right up to me, asking for peanuts, like no time had passed since I last saw him. So grateful he was still around. It made my day, especially since I had a bad day yesterday.

It’s funny, I had a bully squirrel, the alpha I suppose, out of his territory. He came thru chasing all my yard friends. My momma came over to her feeding platform knowing he wasn’t that Brave! 😂 I sat there and fed her till she was full, wasn’t bothered once by that other invader in her yard. 😂

For a small little critter where do they put down all the food. My mother feeds the gray squirrels here and they can eat their weight in seeds on a few hours.

That's like the squirrels in my area. I watched two take turns devouring a seed cake I put out for birds (squirrels had plenty of peanuts nearby but they love those seed cakes 😂). Their metabolism must be extraordinary.
