I,m glad to see a pest control vid with a quality springer because i,m tired of those PCP vids. I own two HW97,s and i prefer them more than any PCP. Tanks mate 👍😁

I have all three , HW 77 K laminate , the pro sport in walnut and a beech stock TX 200 HC all in .22, I no longer use pcp’s as they can be troublesome I have found , I have had a few in FAC but still went back to springers for pest control as they just work , always 🤙😎

Lovely gun. Takes me back to 1988. It deserves a better scope. A nice airmax compact would go well with it. I’ve got a pro sport like you said lovely guns

Hello My friend, Thank you for your latest video, it was great to see someone hunting with a quality springer, and you used one of the best. It's a beautiful looking air rifle and great to shoot with such fantastic kit. Its also nice for many of us to return to our roots and relive the challenges of what we used to endure, lol. I'd love to use my springers more and when I've set off walking to my cabinet, that is my definate intention, honest! However, when my hand reaches out, it somehow picks up a pcp! As I'm sure everyone is aware, both have their pro's and con's. Springer's have a freedom of no air cylinder and so so satisfying to be accurate with, though they are heavy and hold sensitive. Pcp's are much easier to shoot with no recoil, lighter and not the challege of a springer. However, with a magazine, a follow up shot is just fantastic and not the potential, hideous fumble of a springer when the heat is on. Personally, I love them both and it's nice to change when the need arises and experience the differences.. With their walnut stocks, cocking mechanisms, magazines, no reliance on an air cylinder, hold sensitivity, I love shooting and owning them both of them. They both work on different principles and both have their fors and againsts, pro's and con's. I think it all adds to a great shooting experience and offers something for everyone, a challenge and great variation. Thank you again my friend for your troubles and best wishes to you all, Ian.

Thanks for your feedback mate I really appreciate it 🙏 and yeah mate you beat a good old springer bring you back to the old days. I might have to make the air-rifle springers a regular thing with my videos..👍

Hia mate, Thank you for your reply. With great respect to everyone, I think the general opinion is that spring aiir rifles are the air rifles to master. They say that if you master a spring air rifle first, everything else will come easy!

What model of spotter are you using ? Just pulled the trigger… on a new hw77k and can’t wait for it to arrive. I had a Diana 34 back in the day but sold it, a 94 (I think) went to my son so I decided I needed one again. Kinda going through an air gun fevered sickness right now and I hope there’s no cure.. no vid !

I have had the 77 in 6.35 mm for over 20 years now, was cleaning out the broom cupboard today and saw it standing there in the back, decided to give that a clean instead and this led me to this video. Glad to say the red squirrel is still doing strong In my area, I have so far never seen a grey one. Squirrels are a no go for me, but there are many other types of rats around here

I have the blue laminate and also spare beach stock, there’s not much that can beat a 97 in the springer world.

Yeah you know that mate. The hw77 and hw97 springers are one of the most accurate air-rifle out there. 👌

Never seen a black Cyril. I have a 97 in 177 and am toying with idea of a 22, how many airguns do you need, ha ha. Better call into local shop just to say hello.

Can anyone tell me why is the legal limit to power output for airgins 12 ftp in the UK? Why is it restricted to this figure? In The Netherlands there is no legal limit for this. Without a permit you can even buy a cal. 72 ZEUS having 2000 Joule of muzzle energy, as long as you are aged 18 or over.

Tried a few springers, I was not pleased with the accuracy of any of them. When accuracy is all that matters MOST springers are not the tool for the job. 20 yards with a modern day Pellet gun should be one hole, not a jagged line up and down....

You have a great gun there but the TX 200 OR the prosport . A much better guns The Hw 77 sounds like a spring door slamming
