But I've put a few thousand hours into the game, and have been trying to learn air roll left for a long time now. Like his explanation of adjustments in the air was super hand wavie. And how are you supposed to do a fucking air dribble while doing it when you can't even make the adjustments left and right? He may have not said "just do it", but he did say, "you gotta just get in there and try it". That doesn't help me. I need someone to really break down how to turn and make those small directional changes. Once you figure out that, and that being really the hard part, then this video is kind of helpful for how to use it.

that’s the same thing i said once i tried learning this a couple months ago. The individual movements other than up and down are just specific and little adjustments to get the perfect hit. Once you get used to air roll left or right you can start implementing little adjustments like he was showing. It took me around a week straight of trying to get it and now i am starting to implement the very small adjustments to the stick. It takes a lot of time and effort but eventually you will get there

Ok. Thank you Squishy. I have 2,5k hours in the game and hit C3 every once in a while. I knew there were options to use the binded air roll, but I always got confused to what the utility really is. Seeing evample going through lethamyrs map is amazing. But I never got the hang of how to use it properly in the stadium. Thank you a lot for actually showing how to use it. This tutorial just blew my mind, cause no one ever told me the importance or significance of that mechanic although I always see it in the game and cannot copy it :D and now I wished someone told me about it earlier. I finally have something to work on (again)..

I dont get how he can press all those buttons at once, for me I find circle and square 2 close. Is there another button I could potentially use for air roll right instead to make it a little easier?
@berndderhenker55463 жыл бұрын
Just use Squishy's binds with the only difference of binding boost to R1/RB. This way you can easily hold square/X in the air with your thumb, because you barely need jump/ ball cam in the air and you press boost with your index. Maybe a little confusing but I hope this helps :)

Pulling backwards on your analog + air rolling can be used to fake and catch the ball instead of getting a powerful hit with the corner of your car - if you're using air roll right you aim as if you're taking a hard shot with your left corner (and vice versa) but instead of flipping through or getting a powershot, just before contact you pull back and touch the ball with your front corner tire, flip through until you level out and catch the ball on its way down, then do what you will. I've used it to catch quite a few people off guard in 2s when they're on backboard anticipating a high shot from my commit.
