Srijit can't take criticism. Vincida was a disaster. Sahjahan was the same. Gumnaami ending was a failure. Still he has a high self esteem. .. only bcoz the media uplifting 🖕.

Yup! He is arrogant, can't take criticism but we should atleast give him the credit for some movies which are AWESOME! Baishe srabon, autograph, jatiswar, mishor rahasya... You can't deny them, can you! After all after some blockbuster movies people get over confident, in his case he became arrogant!

@@Anesh10 just bcoz he has given some blockbuster hits it doesn't mean that he is a great director. In his hay days David Dhawan and Govinda gave consecutive superhits but can we consider them to be great..!! They were just blatant copies of some South Indian hit movies. Likewise Srijit's so called hits..like Autograph, Baise shrabon, hemlock, Chatushkon..were also copied. Not only the idea but the entire story line. Those films cemented his position. Then he started working on original scripts ..and only then his storytelling flaws got noticed. Especially the ending.. which is always the Hallmark of a good director, in dat department he always had fallen flat. Eg Vincida, Gumnaami etc. I am a big fan of Buddhadeb Dasgupta. Post Ray and Ghosh he is the true unsung hero of Art house genre of movies.

@@adonismoto9159 you are right! Absolutely 100% but what I am saying is we should give him credit for what best he has done... And about "copy-paste" "direct translation" there are many more example of great writers, singers and directors who have done the same thing. But have not we seen those movies or read those stories. Yes, we have and we have also loved them. Its the way how a director presents the story. There are more powerful directors than Srijit with bold movies, many to-be-directors. Even I am not a fan of Srijit. I HATED, yeti obhijaan, zulfiqaar, but I cannot deny that I loved baishe shrabon, mishore rahasya, and now dwitiyo purush. You may hate him. Its your right and choice. After all the critics makes the best to come from an artist!

@Vidisha Roy U consider Vincida a classic..!! It was a visual disaster. The mkup was of the school drama standard. It's the age of content driven films.. Look at anurag kashyap, aishini tiwari, Zoya akhtar, and sujoy Ghosh ..their movies are far better than Srijit's..in terms of subject, storytelling and direction. Chatushkon was a copy film. The best part of that film was it's cinematography which was done by Sudeep Chatterjee - he is the stalwart behind all the Bhansali movies.
