My home church just started teaching the book of Daniel. Why is expository preaching so important? Answer: Because, otherwise one tends to skip the hard parts leading to a warped theology.

It’s about Jesus…Jesus is King of Kings and Lord of Lords, and his kingdom is from everlasting to everlasting. He is given authority over the nations from the Ancient of Days and rules them with a rod of iron, and will dash them to pieces like a potters vessel and chases the spiritual authorities that deceive them into darkness. He is the stone not cut from man’s hands which destroys the statue of the dream That’s the interpretation - it’s not meant to tell you about geopolitical events, but to teach you to fear God and His anointed, not men, whatever they may plot against Christ and his people.
