Sram axs failure 2

My three month old SRAM red Axs rear Mech failure.
SRAM did replace this but it's certainly giving me anxiety for the future given the number of failures I've now been made aware of :-/

Mine did the same. Happened just before halfway point of a 230km race in the mountains. Had to push the bike to the end and send the derailleur for a replacement. Now my wife’s brand new bike won’t shift and I’m looking for a solution online.

Did you find a solution? Mine did exactly this today. Rear derailleur wont do anything and won’t really update the firmware, while the shifters and front derailleur work fine. All the rear does is flash the amber colored light if I hold the button.

The solution is to send it back to sram and I guess they send you a new one back. I had to do this through the bike shop so haven’t had to deal directly with them. Really cheesed off about it as it was only three months old and not crashed or knocked about. I’ve heard of it happening two other times with both red and force.

Yes it’s quite common. Spoke to a mechanic whose seen lots of these failures. The only option is a new mech. The worst is for the people who have 11 speed Etap as SRAM don’t make them any more so you have to get a whole new group set. Very disappointing.

Just had the same problem today on my Red derailleur. Ive tried everything! Ive emailed the shop for a replacement 🤞

I've just had the same, tried all the tricks to fix but ended up taking into the shop as they will deal with it through Sram. Mine is 1.5 years old but Sram have a 2 year warrenty on this stuff and this is a software issue not mechanical through wear and tear. So they have to fix.

In my case the derailleur stopped working suddenly after 14/15 months after buying the bike. Unfortunately the lower part of the derailleur body (where the RIVAL inscription is) is scratched and SRAM Poland rejected my complaint :(. Now I sent the derailleur to the manufacturer and hope they will reconsider my complaint.

Nie ma czegoś takiego jak Sram Polska. Dystrybutorem na Polskę Srama jest firma Aspire z Czech i to oni rozpatrują reklamacje. Niestety Czesi jak widzą, że reklamacja z Polski to odrazu odrzucona. Najlepiej kupować w Niemczech w Bike24, r2-bike. Tam już Czesi nie mają nic do gadania.
