My biggest concern with the growing amount of electrical components is bringing in an entire separate industry that I must rely on to keep my bike running properly. For anyone in manufacturing, your well aware of the struggles of electrical component manufacturing in 2023, it's backordered central out there everywhere!

Only having two modes is a dumb move. A 3rd customisable ride mode would be a welcome addition. Because of the cost of these bikes, the majority of people will only have 1 emtb and use it for all kinds of riding. The 4 modes I have on my Bosch powered bike is awesome because I can do a 60km+ race and not worry about draining the battery and bump the power just slighty to get up a long hill. With the limited 2 modes on the Sram system you don't have the fine adjustablity while racing. It can't be that hard to add more modes? I guess they are trying to be different just to be different?
@phildattilo8598 Жыл бұрын
I disagree. The modes are adjustable so why does it even matter? One persons eco mode can be another persons boost mode. I’ve been in the industry for over a decade in sales & a lead mechanic & I always just change the mode settings to fit the purpose of my ride. 4 modes are pointless. If your racing why would one ever need eco modes? If someone is doing a e cross country race why would you ever need boost? Just set 2 modes with the assist you need to support your needs. Everyone has phones & it takes less then a minute to change settings & support. I’ve always only had 1 bike & never had an issue.

I had my Transition Repeater PT for only two weeks now. I too wish it had 3 modes. I have Range set at default I believe its like 50% and Rally 100%.. There are times I don't need that much power. I can get a lot more range if I had 3rd mode set to 30% .. On my other ebike I have it set to 30% 60% 100%

If the goal was to “bring something not currently available in the market” then I’m having a hard time seeing where they accomplished that🧐

Only 2 riding modes is something "not available" at the moment 🤣

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I just bought a GX T-type geoup set for my 2022 Levo. I'd like to install a "hot shoe" or Sram Eagle Powertrain Extension Cable in my bike to get rid or the extra battery. Where can I buy one that's not marked ip 1000%? I see Cambria Bike has one made for Bosch for $190... There is no way it's woth that much. I might make one myself by pulling apart an old battery case and combining a 12v to 7.4 regulator with a Brose rear light extension cable.

Great convo - but you did miss how flight attendant might fit in to this all....... Is there a 3 Button Pod coming?
@klassyken Жыл бұрын
Needs a third mode (trail), slow or go isnt enough choice especially as most e bike riders ride a middle mode the majority of the time.

The Brose haters are going to freak out.....zero interest in the transmission....like none at all. Infact, next to headset cable routing, wireless shifting is a deal braker as far as buying a bike.

We need longer, transferable warrantys. It looks like this motor will be outdated fairly quickly.
@phildattilo8598 Жыл бұрын
Every Ebike that comes out is obsolete in 4 years. It’s called technology & it changes very quickly. Is 2 years not enough? It’s not like they only let you replace 1 motor. Amy replacement motor gets another 2 year warranty

Epic fail. I see multiple batteries you have to charge separate of the bike. Major Fail.

Nope. Shifter Pod batteries last a year or two. Derailleur is wired to the bike battery.
@KurtisPape Жыл бұрын
the derailleur is actually wired to the battery, I didn't notice that, what about dropper post? Also what about the display controller in the frame, I heard that's wireless
@netposerx Жыл бұрын
@@KurtisPape SRAM said you can use a standalone battery or wire the derailleur to the bike battery. Makes sense as a car will take advantage of the internal power source (12V).

Brose is bad moter
@GhulamHussain-uk3im Жыл бұрын
The only thing holding me back is the S Mag motor, I'm not convinced the belt is fit for purpose @ 90nm. That said, if you consider the Brose motor roadmap i.e. their development of the Brose Drive 3 system (releases 2024) which ditches the belt and provides 410% assistance plus 814w battery. That's the game changer for me. So I'm holding back until SRAM adopts the new Brose Drive3 system as their new powertrain.

Why ride a bike then just walk or tramp, bike riders are lazy, don't need wheels just walk, way cheaper
