SRAM Rear Derailleur shifting fix

Here's the full rear derailleur shifting trick that I used to fix my buddy's bike with the shifting issue. Although I've seen this issue and used this fix before, I didn't make this fix up; I learned it from a lesser-known KZbin vid buried under the litter of other popular, yet useless vids.

Hobby, It's SIMPLE . (I REPAIR BIKES) loosten the hex screw that holds the cable in place only enough so that the cable doesn't hold the derailleur in place. if the derailleur doesn't move to the last gear, find your "H" (for high) adjustment screw on the derailleur and slowly turn it so the derailleur moves to that high gear. When it's moved enough, retighten the hex screw and shift it.

My 25yo SRAM ESP 7.0 doesn't do that, but my much newer Shimano shifter has this exact problem.

Yeah, it's a failing with the springs on some SRAM RDs, and I first encountered the issue on a SRAM RED. The RD in the vid is a Microshift and I appreciate you mentioning that Shimano has the same problem. 👍
