M.S.Subbulaskhmi was a legendary Carnatic musician whose career spanned over 7 decades. With D.K.Pattammal and M.L.Vasanthakumari, they were often called the Female Trinity of Carnatic Music. The krithi, composed in the Melakartha Ragam Hemavathi, was written and composed by Muttuswamy Dikshitar.
