SRI LANKA Travel Vlog | Yala National Park Safari | Mawella beach | Day in Galle

Hello everyone,
Today I'm taking you on our recent trip to Sri Lanka which is one of my favourite countries in the world!
We start our trip on the south coast of Sri Lanka in a small beach cove called Mawella beach. We stayed at Halcyon Mawella and highly recommend! You can find there hotel here - @
We then travelled a little further around the coast to Yala National Park where we spent 4 nights and we were there primarily for safari!
Yala is the place to go to see leopards as there is a higher density of them in the park and we did see them on all 4 of our half day safari's - although not always so close up.
If you prefer to see elephants on safari, then I would recommend the other national parks, especially Udawalawe which I have done in 2019 and saw SO many elephants here amongst all the other animals featured in this vlog too.
We ended our trip in the charming town of Calle for 1 night. 1 night is all you need in Galle, it really is much smaller than you think but we loved our time here strolling the streets and having afternoon tea in one of the hotel tea rooms.

It isn't 5* luxury but the room and hotel were very clean, the staff were so helpful and polite and the food was really good. Very reasonably priced also.
