It's very hard to drag Hindus away from idol worship and that is how they wish to see God, as an image they worship. Rightly said ramakrishna paramhansa witnessed an ocean of consciousness not an idol image. How can God appear to true devotee in false form ? So God or mother appeared in her true form which is supreme bliss or supreme consciousness. The formlessness of God is rejected by even shankracharya as it will destroy all blindness of idol worship which is valued by some as an industry. Spiritualism hurts ignorance and all forms of evil which is quite popular these days.

@@ppocka-XD culture and spirituality are unrelated and different. Idol worship is culture, meditation is spiritualism. India/hindu culture is richest due to being ancient many practices are added over time. In all cases except Buddhism and Christianity religion is merely cultural practices with no drive for spiritual pursuit. Islam and Hinduism are now full blown nationalist belief systems - arab and Indian. Both have distinct culture both worship stone both are fully intolerant reject other faiths. Christianity stands out as fairest child of God. We see evidence of that, don't we ?
