Person of great humility. Such an accomplished stalwart did not mind singing with the accompaniment of such youngsters and before such small audience. He still enjoyed singing as much as he would at Madras Music Academy or at Shanmukhananda Hall packed with rasikas. It gives us a bit of glimpse into his great personality.

The delightful ease with which Dr M Balamuralikrishna, with a 'suited' Ragavan Manian at his side, strolls through the complicated Arabhi garden is jaw-dropping. I wonder if anyone recognises the two young prodigies on the violin and the mridangam - Akkarai Subhalakshmi and B Sivaraman!
