'Su' means good, auspicious and 'Prabhath' means morning. 'Suprabhatam' refers to the prayers that are sung at dawn in praise of the Lord to awaken the divinity present within each one. It is the act of dedicating oneself to the Lord and praying for His blessings right at the start of a new day.
Come one come all, let us sing together and wake up the lord within each one and spend the day in HIS thoughts.

īśvarāmbāsutah śreeman
poorvā sandhyā pravartatē
uttiṣṭha satya sāyeeśā
kartavyam daivamāhnikam
O auspicious Son of Easwaramba!
In the east, the dawn is heralding
Arise O Lord Sathya Sai
Thy divine duties await.

On the banks of Chitravati, at the vast and serene abode,
the servitors are waiting for Thy Darshan
The radiance of the Sun is illumining all the Worlds

tvannāma keertana ratās tava divya nāma
gāyanti bhakti rasa pāna prahṛṣṭa chittāha

Those that rejoice in singing Thy name, Thy divine name
they sing with delightful hearts saturated with the nectar of love

Bringing enchanting holy flowers
for worshipping Thy Feet, as prescribed by the scriptures
Thy devotees are coming in with great yearning and enthusiasm

dēśāntarāgata budhās tava divyamoortim
sandarśanābhirati samyuta chittavṛtyā
vēdōktamantra paṭhanēna lasantyajasram

Wise persons from distant countries
moved by the yearning to behold Thy holy form
Are taking delight in constantly chanting mantras from the Vedas

Hearing the marvellous tales of Thy life and of Thy boundless fame
that has spread wide in all directions on this Earth earnest seeker of Reality have come to this Ashram and are waiting

seetā satee sama viśuddha hṛdambujātāha

Equal in chastity to Mother Sita, with hearts as pure as the lotus
Women, carrying in their hand's beautiful garlands of flowers
Are singing Thy glory, O Lord who is adorned with serpents (Lord Shiva)
O Lord Sathya Sai! Morning salutations unto Thee!
suprabhātam idam puṇyam
yē paṭhanti dinē dinē
tē viśanti parandhāma
gnāna vignāna śōbhitāhā
This sacred morning hymn
those that singeth everyday
Will attain the abode supreme
radiant with knowledge and wisdom.
mangaḷam gurudēvāya
mangaḷam gnānadāyinē
mangaḷam partivāsāya
mangaḷam satya sāyinē
May the divine Guru be auspicious to us
May the Bestower of wisdom be auspicious to us
May the Lord, Who manifested in Parthi be auspicious to us
May Sathya Sai be auspicious to us.

How lovely and peaceful! The clarity and diction are superb. The voice is soothig and divine. Sitting outside Prashanthi Mandir on sands and getting imbibed in the holy atmosphere on those days come to mind as clear video images. Pranaams to Swamy and the students and all devotees who made the stay in ashram during our visits pleasant, peaceful and holy. Extremely pleased to experience the same feelings during the visit to have darshan of Swamy's resting mandir now. Thank Swamy for the feeling that He is now everywhere. How blessed we are to have lived when Swamy gave us the blessings of darshan, sparshan and sambashan. And the Paada namashkars magnanimously allowed by Swamy and those we stole without His explicit permission as we wrongly thought He didn't know while He purposely stood in front of us just for that only are all blissful expriences that make us bow down to thank Swamy with love, devotion, gratitude and a total feeling of absolute surrender. Always at His feet, Sairam.

Sairam It's the first thing done every day: listening devotedly to the suprabhatam chant in the cool, silent and dark early morning at around 4 AM. The overwhelmingly exilerating feeling of divine presence is the same as at the beginning even after years of everyday listening. Blessed are we to be bestowed with this gift of Swamy with the additional catalyst of the tastefully selected video clips if one can still show some effort to keep the eyes open despite the soothing effects of the chanting tone. The feeling of the divine presence is tangible when you can recall the days we sat on the sands listening to the suprapatham occasionally aided by an additionl tune of an early bird. Pranams my beloved Swamy for leading us in our lives with the kind and loving holy light. Sairam.
