Could you please explain difference between conventional and intensive phototherapy
@SridharKs4 жыл бұрын
Hi, it depends on what irradiance you are aiming for. If no resource limitation, any baby where you think needs phototherapy could receive intensive phototherapy as it would be more effective and shortens treatment time. You could use 2 of the conventional/led units with biliblanket or the bilibed which provides all surface phototherapy. Admission to Nicu would depend on how close to exchange line it is and any associated factors like need for IV fluids. Where resources are limited you could use single surface conventional phototherapy with irradiance of close to 10-15, so you can provide intensive therapy for those where it is rising rapidly or close to exchange level. Intensive phototherapy aims for irradiance close to 30 or more
