2:20 Sorry but lakes don't get color from the sky. In fact even the sky which is atmosphere gets color from the sunlight and yes sky and it's color is only for us humans viewing the atmosphere from the Earth. Lakes, oceans and other huge water bodies too get it's color from the sunlight. The water bodies are mostly blue because red, orange and yellow (long wavelength light) are absorbed more strongly by water than is blue (short wavelength light). So when white light from the sun enters the ocean, it is mostly the blue that gets returned. (This is the basics of how we humans see color). And this is the reason color of water bodies change if the water is impure. This is a complicated subject but tried to explain in a simple way. Hope our subscribers have learnt something new today!
