The journey has began with a fortunate reunion with my former colleague, Ubaid, in the enchanting city of Srinagar. Together, we embarked on an immersive exploration of this picturesque paradise, strolling through the bustling streets of Lal Chowk, crossing the majestic Jhelum River, and savoring the flavors of a famous tea spot.
As the clock struck 3 PM, our anticipation peaked as we arrived at Soonamarg, a place that would mark the starting point for the adventure of a lifetime. We took some well-deserved rest to prepare for the exciting trek. The following day, at 5 AM, our journey towards the first base camp, Nichinai Camp. As the treacherous yet awe-inspiring trails unfolded before our eyes, I couldn't help but feel the immense gratitude for the privilege to witness the breathtaking landscapes of the Great Lakes of Kashmir.
The road ahead promises even more excitement, and I assure you, I'm not exaggerating when I say that the most thrilling part of our adventure is yet to come.
