Just got my Hyosung GD250R for $1300 with 53 miles so far she's been a great bike. I own 1000cc sportbikes but bought the little Hyosung to ride with my wife when she rides her R3.

I bought one of these for my first bike, and it's a great beginner bike. It's so cheap that you don't care if you dump it a few times. Parts are cheap and reliability is pretty good. I would definitely recommend it as a beginner bike.

Hey sean I think all them stickers mean something, kr are the ppl that made the the engine for hyosung... exiv is the first bike hyosung made long time ago so the reason for the r is the newer model.. the words on the front finder is the is for the ergonomics adjustment they're from South Korea

One of the biggest problems with these is the availability of replacement parts, service data, and service. Other than that their quality is improving. They ( and all manufacturers) are building these and many newer models as throw away vehicles once they are used up.

Along the lines of what you mentioned at the end, Cleveland CycleWerks is one of those America-by-way-of-China motorcycle companies, using a chinese clone of a honda parallel twin engine. They make choppers, cafe bikes and offroad bikes. I saw a chopper of theirs once and thought it looked like fun, no idea about the build quality or reliability though

The letter aren't random.. exiv is Hyosung first racing bike they built I believe.. ez suit is because so much of the bike is adjustable- foot rests, handle bars, height.. and I think a couple other things

Hard to find around my location everyone is charging 2999.00 for them I bought a cbr250r repsol with 748 miles on it for 1700 bucks. An actual repsol not a dealer option after market reskin. This would be nice to add to my collection but not for 3k. I keep looking. Off to pick up a Buccaneer 250 v twin shortly. Just like small cc bikes for collecting.

Sean, at 7:54 you "floored it." There is a car in your left mirror and you pulled away slightly. Well there was not that much "buzzing" going on. Try that bike against my 1997 HD Softail Heritage Springer.... At that speed (speed you were going), you could not have seen the car in the mirror... So, like Einstein said, "Its all relative." Yep, that Korean bike vibrates a lot less than my frame mounted, EVO motored HD.... And, I have a few missing teeth to prove my bike vibrates more than that Hyosung.

hyosung IIRC, used the suzu 650 engines for their gt650 bikes. Same bike basically as the sv650 was. they also had the 650 cruiser and 250 cruiser like suzu had.

The Gv650 is not the same as the sv. It shares no parts. It does look similar

We took a Korean business man to MC show in Columbus this fall. He says they have extra taxes on bikes bigger than about 300cc, so that is why they like smaller ones. He was interested in either a Yamaha or Kawasaki 300cc sport bike, but said even the Koreans don't really like the Hyosung, since they are not considered that reliable.
