As per my experience from past 1 year, it is initially difficult for a north indian to adapt to a south indian environment where you are not used to eating Idli Dosa Sambar every single day, listening to a hell lot of Tamil when you go out somewhere but slowly you do get adapted and accept things. Understanding lectures are not a task because everything is taught in english and every faculty speaks in english only. Only the barrier comes when you go out of the campus and you don’t know the language. But slowly you might develop interest in learning Tamil as well. Making friends was never a task for me as there are many North Indian people in our batch. As a whole, it is upto you to adapt to the environment. If you are willing, then everything becomes easy eventually.

I will suggest that being a north Indian it would be better to opt college in the North as the language barrier is something which is very hard to adapt with.

Hi di..are online services like amazon and bluedart are allowed to deliver to hostel? Are you allowed to collect packages?

@@shreyaraman. amazon myntra bluedart etc come inside the University near the hostel and we are allowed to collect but the food delivery apps like zomato swiggy are not allowed inside. For that you have to go to main university gate to collect your food. Local restaurants delivery happen near the hostel though.
