With your lovely camouflage no humans will see you or bother you then ..." she mews I told her when I adopted her I would not make her a prisoner one of those unfortunate pets that live their lives inside I let her out for a morning adventure, and again for an evening adventure Cats belong to God and Cats belong to the night so I say my prayers over her ask God to protect her with His angels open the door wedge a sneaker in it so she can come back fast, if need be her little bolt-hole and she slips out into the night like a shadow I watched the clock last night, so I know she'll be gone for about 35 minutes I read the newspapers online smoke my pipe 40 minutes this time, she comes blasting in the door. "Welcome back!" I bellow always pleased that she should choose to return Stepping to greet her, I see a long dark line on the floor in the dark a piece of paracord from the toy I fashioned? No, this is too wide - and suddenly, flicking the lights on, it is an enormous nightcrawler Lucky standing over it like a gladiator holy shit, I keep saying, holy shit my cat's first kill Did she learn it from her mother, the cat with the unfortunate name? Did she learn it from me, swinging a toy tied to a piece of paracord like a falconer with a bird of prey? Or is this something God built into her, something ancient and primitive beyond my understanding? Suitably praised, Lucky takes her still-alive prey under the bed "This calls for something special," I say, can-opening a can of tuna While she eats, I get my flashlight find half the remaining nightcrawler wallowing in a pool of guts the other half devoured, I think I throw him out the window - I've heard they can regenerate I should mentally prepare myself for more dead animals carried home and proudly deposited on the floor as trophies I thank God for my Cat It is quiet now, in this motel room the only sound is the tapping of the keys as I write this and Lucky lapping up her tuna fish Two apex predators joined into one team sailing this motel room through the night - TWS

Yes, it's terrible, cowardly attacks on civilians who are not trained or armed to fight back. Reminds me of Ukraine. Both situations are reprehensible and would have been avoided without Putin.

I think Putin is such a low excuse for a man, he may well have known the attack was coming and allowed it to happen to boost his popularity and an excuse to invent people responsible. I throw leftover catfood onto a nearby roof where they gobble it up when I'm not looking. All container ships leaving American ports shall be escorted by tugboats, port and starboard, beyond the mouth of the harbor, beyond all man-made and natural navigation hazards, into open ocean. Similarly, container ships arriving at American ports shall be met in the open ocean by tugboat escorts, port and starboard, and guided to the docks. The temporary closure of an American port is a significant blow to our national security. I would not lose another port. May Almighty God have mercy on all the souls that perished, and welcome them into Heaven, where there is no war but only perfect peace forever, Amen. The captain who crashed his ship into the Francis Scott Key bridge has lost his nautical captaincy privileges in and around the United States of America and at all American ports, effective immediately. I will not presume to tell our Noble Allies how to conduct their affairs. If the United States of America summoned an ambassador, and that ambassador declined to appear, he or she would be immediately declared persona non grata and given 48 hours to leave the country. The embassy and consulates of that arrogant nation would likely be closed as well, and diplomatic ties severed. What use is a diplomat who arrogantly declines to do his job of diplomacy? God save the United States of America and all our Noble Allies. God save Baltimore, and God save Maryland. @@rogerjackson7318 No, I do not think so, Sir. At this time, it appears to be an unfortunate accident. I base my assessment on preliminary reports that the captain sent a mayday warning to the port when he realized he had lost control of his ship. Still, I must hold the captain accountable for the negligent handling and/or maintenance of his vessel which took American lives and caused grievous damage to American infrastructure, and I may hold his company accountable as well. Thank you for your question.

27 March 2024. Evening Dispatch: On Statecraft. Behold the repercussions of unchecked American capitalism, which I describe as the selfish pursuit of money above God, above Country, above the lives of fellow Americans: airplanes falling apart in the sky, and container ships stacked to the sky with cargo while woefully undercrewed crashing into bridges and bringing them down, hazmat spilling into the sea. There must be an incentive for hard work, for entrepreneurship, for inventiveness, for creativity, and I readily admit that capitalism provides this incentive, and society as a whole benefits from individualism striving towards it. But when capitalism is unchecked without a _decidedly_ labor-centric government, things fall apart. Morally bankrupt businessmen of questionable loyalty to the United States of America own a thousand hotel rooms while the American Combat Veterans who selflessly and nobly fought for our country are homeless in an ungrateful land. Indeed it seems to me that the only way we can have capitalism in America is if the government is constantly defending the laborer against the CEO's insatiable greed, and constantly upholding safety standards that cost CEOs and shareholders money but nonetheless protect American lives, constantly upholding standards for our food and drink. Constantly policing the businesses of America. And yes: the overwhelmingly wealthy must pay their taxes, for they have already received the lion's share of what blessings America has to offer, and it is right and just that they should give back and pay it forward to the next generation. And yes, the government must have IRS agents to collect these taxes, lest they go uncollected. We have a brand new bridge to pay for, and an expensive hazmat cleanup to conduct, and will need to hire more tugboat drivers (see earlier dispatch). We cannot have capitalism and also a government that gives away the farm to the rich, that loots and pillages the American People to feed the few. We all eat or none of us eat. We all have homes or none of us have homes. American Government must be a check and a balance to American Capitalism, it is the only way capitalism will work. Or is it too much to ask that American Businessmen and Businesswomen have morals? God save the United States of America, and all our Noble Allies. V/R, In Christ, TWS
