Singer Sromona Chakraborty at 'Subah Savere', a show which used to air on Doordarshan Channel back in 2002. She sings the song 'Zindagi Ke Safar Me Guzar Jate Hain Jo Makam' from the movie Aap Ki Kasam. She was also part of the Calcutta youth choir. She says her mother is a big inspiration and compares her to the banyan tree.

Just for the information.....the Rabindrasangeet that she sang for Satyajit Ray's movie "Aguntuk" is 'Bajilo kaharo beena madhuro sware" , lip-synced by Mamata Shankar in the movie, and NOT ' Mori lo mori, amay bNashite dekeche ke", as has been sung by her in this video clip....somehow she must have failed to recall the right song at the right moment.....it atleast proves that this interview is not edited or "made-up", like the ones we see nowadays....good journalists, real talent, genuine people :)
