In this ASMR video, I'll be demonstrating 5 different colour vision tests to help you relax. The tests include the Ishihara colour test, Farnsworth D-15 Hue Test, and two new tests to the channel. As I show you each test, you'll hear soothing sounds and soft spoken commentary to help you unwind and experience ASMR.

Every so often you'll show a card where I can't see the number and I have a quiet little panic to myself. And then I remember that I'm watching this on a tiny phone screen in the middle of the night with all the lights off and the screen brightness turned right down and the yellow filter all the way up, and I realise that I'm probably not colourblind but I'm definitely an idiot.

Ummmm you might want to take the actual colorblind test online because that means you have some sort of colorblindness like myself. I took a few test and i’m definitely green colorblind.

Fun fact: It was through one of your tests that I confirmed that I'm really colorblind. I failed almost every single one of the tests! Soon I'm going to a doctor to get that checked and see what I can do. Tank you SRP, you're my favorite!

I watched one of these with my boyfriend, and he looked confused and answered something like "Its a trick question right? Theres nothing there" So that explains why he cant color match an outfit at all and why he doesnt like green

@@melodicbanshee4344 Different forms of colorblindness is fairly common in men because it's carried on the x chromosome, so they get it automatically if they have one copy of the gene

@superhuffpuff unsure if you're replying to me, but no, it's the x chromosome. Basically if a woman has it on ONE of her x chromosomes, she won't get it. That's because she still has a healthy copy of the normal colorvision gene, which overrides the mutation. But a man only has one x chromosome, so if it's on there, he doesn't have a backup nonmutated chromosome, and he's guaranteed to be colorblind. Because of this, it effects about 1 in 12 males and just 1 in 200 women globally

Answer is: not a whole lot. There are some color vision glasses, might work, might not, otherwise you just have to live with it.

I saw that it reads "help" in the thumbnail. I ended up imagining a scenario where you're being tested for color blindness where it goes like this. Doctor: Do you see any words or letters in this image. Patient: (sees that it reads "help", but isn't sure what to say) Doctor: What about this one? (Turns the page) Patient: (sees that it reads "He's been holding me captive." They start to seem unnerved.) "N-no." Doctor: How about this one? (Turns the page) Patient: (sees that it reads: "I'm not the only one being held here.") Another page is turned. It reads, "They just killed John." The next one reads, "Oh god, I think they're planning on taking more people." At this point the patient is clearly terrified. "Get out while you still can."
