Just dropped my trans and installed a new ACT clutch using your videos so thank you. Now I'm wanting to install my big wheel turbo kit. Out of all the neons I've owned before the heat shield were removed, but my current one has both upper and lower still installed. Forums basically just say upper isn't too bad, but bottom one would need to be cut. Do you have any advice for me? Was checking them out when the trans was dropped and definitely seemed to be a not very fun job lol

I’ve pulled them and kept them complete it’s extremely a pain in …. It can be done I’ve herd of people trying to cut them off and getting cut on the metal it will come out the btm down pipe and some other parts out of the way if I can across one I’d make a video but normally when I’m doing so much to one of these cars I just pull the whole engine out and fix everything

Has anyone installed the AGP BWS turbo? Are they worth it? Seems like economical power if you want 300 350hp? Opinions...

i've installed 4 or so in my opinion its a good new replacement turbo its not really modified and to get to 350 you would need lots of other supporting mods e85 and really run that turbo hard its life will be short lived get the 2.5 turbo bay or art gennari turbo either bws either one will be money better spent to get you to your whp goal

Hey Matt, with lovely Wisconsin winter being here I am looking to do a fresh OEM rebuild on a spare motor I have laying around what would you recommend for pistons and rings oem comparable. And full gasket set. Also, have you had any luck with any turbo rebuild kits by chance? For stock turbo. I might as well freshen that up too, while I’m at it Thank you.

well lots of oem parts are no longer available, modern offers a btm rebuild kit pistons rods bearings ect you could get or give it a look so you an idea of what you need to source always get the machine work done before ordering parts, as in if the crank main or rod journals need turned over .010-.020 same as the cylinder walls even if you know your going .020 over. Id at least do eagle rods wisco pistons new bearings rings and oil pump gears can spend the money on a strap kit and arp hardware if want but not needed around 400 for the btm end for gaskets mopar or equivalent as better/good quality less chance for a leak.
