This is a weird one, looks like a 60's mecha, fights like a 70's/80's mecha, it;'s pilot looks like it's from the 70's/90's and it's copilot look like a Trigger character.

Dude, they COOKED for this one. Can confirm as a proud LAL fan. BTW, I dunno if this is true or not as my sources are kinda iffy, but supposedly, the character designer for the Near Future chapter (Kazuhiko Shimamoto) made a doujin essentially recapping the events.

What about Zone of the Enders? Fist of Mars was basically SRW. Metal Gear would be fun too having to stop Arsenal gear and an army of Rays. Having Cyberbots Full Metal Madness would be sick too with it's classis CPS2 capcom soundtrack. Tech Romancer would be no brainer. Geppy X is full of Kageyama Hironobu songs and have awesome Getter team interactions. And since Squaresoft also needs their Real Robots reps like Front Mission in. And Armored Core has Nine Ball in Another Century Episode R. Might be cool to have him as an enemy too in SRW. And 13 sentinels has that nostalgic 80's mecha style. I would love to see their attacks fully animated.
